I think it should be terrific. The downside of the coverage IMO is the stupid many seconds spent looking at the back of the team guys working the monitors. In the last couple of years we also spend far too long on cars that MIGHT have an overtaking incident, yet only cut to the chequered flag when the winner takes the last corner.

I already have BBC HD so I will watch it in HD, however I didn't already have HD i wouldn't bother upgrading to it. While it looks better, I don't think it's worth the extra dosh.

Definitely. I'd love it if they went to 3D as well. That moment when Hamilton hit that bollard in Abu Dhabi would have been brilliant in 3D.

With digital switch-over working in phases across the UK, will HD on freeview be following a similar pattern or is this available wherever digital freeview is available.

My TV is capable, has an in-built freeview receiver, but I don't want to buy a freeview HD receiver unless I'm sure I'll get the appropriate signal. Any suggestions?

Its a shame they didn't broadcast it in HD last year. Eurosport covered the support races in HD so all the equipment must have been there.
