In actual fact I think he does. He has a flawed personality that engages with people. Completely different to the bland platitudes that emanate from others like May and Hunt that tend to switch your brain cells into standby. Boris is certainly flawed, but that could make all the difference. The standby switch will be turned off and people will start to listen. Maybe it wont work and this country will collapse into chaos as a result of his leadership, but it hasn't been going anywhere for this last 3 years and has arguably suffered a worse fate through that time. We were going nowhere - now we are going somewhere wherever that might be. I'll give him a shot at it because we really haven't much choice now he's there. There is no credible alternative to going with this other than a hugely disruptive GE campaign with God knows what eventual outcome and still nothing resolved.
Reminds me of our local minister who used to be invited to make up the numbers in our Boys Brigade annual 'boys v officers' match. This guy was in his 60s & lethal. I also believe that he has good intentions, but the biggest klaxon of them all was his 'election team' insisting that he kept his mouth shut during his campaign. That has to be a worry. However, even with this extra borrowing, the National Debt only totalled £0.8tn, as I recall. Your right wing nutjobs have more than doubled it to nudging £1.8tn. In fact it's often commented on that your RW nutjobs have borrowed more in 9 years than all Labour government borrowings added together since their inception.
