If he goes on to be as good as everyone expects then it will be worth every penny to get him to stay at the club.
Roman Abramovich earns £58m per week. 58m divided by £100,000 = 580 So, if you divide your weekly earnings by 580, you can appreciate how little Hudson-Odoi's wages effect Mr. Abramovich. Basically it is the equivalent of me paying around £1.30
Roman Abramovich earns £58m per week. _______________ Absolutely nothing to do with paying a 18yo who's played 12 league games £100K a week and you know it. Those wages will become a hurdle for him.
The biggest hurdle to him, was not playing enough games. He has forced Chelsea's hand with all of the Bayern-transfer talk, and now he has been pushed into the first team. So he has done pretty well for himself there. The £100,000 per week 'negative-effect' is a complete assumption. There are plenty of examples of youngsters being paid crazy money and still playing well. Raheem Sterling for example. And Chelsea had no choice. if they didn't tie him down, they would have lost a player who is widely regarded as the hottest property in English football, and if that had happened, the fans would have been furious.
Big season incoming. We'll see how he does. My guess, more time falling out of clubs than celebrating club success.
Only just seen that Newcastle signed Joelinton. Good player, fee seems steep but I guess that is just football nowadays.
Absolutely. The fact that he ended up in China is proof alone of what Rafa was after. Ambition my arse.
I do like Klopp, but he pays a world record fee for a defender and a world record fee for a goalkeeper. No City signing is in the top 20 most expensive players, so...
