Nowhere did I say anything about players refusing to go . I said Saints want them off the wage bill so much they will gave to take a hit selling wise.
Didn’t mean to imply that you did. Mine was a general observation that whatever the club may want there’s no way to shift them down the leagues or overseas if they won’t accept it and that’s the most likely destination for most of them. Contract’s a contract *unless there’s a better offer elsewhere **
I nearly went to bed with one of those lady boys once. It was only after driving back to her place and she reversed into her spot first time I thought hang on a minute.....
Not seen any explanation for Lemina being on the surplus to requirements list Can anyone get me up to date?
I don't like this Fraser or McCarthy malarky, I wouldn't put them on a par. Surely we want McCarthy as backup, and let another team have the blessing that is Fraser
Lemina has made it clear publically that he wants to move on...we don't need anyone not on board. He hasn't done well enough for us that we'd try and stop him IF the right offer comes along.
Not so much surplus to requirements. More that he informed the club in December that we wanted to leave in the summer and in an attempt to expedite his departure he and his agent have been busy in the media and releasing their own 'best bit' you tube video. Given the fact he still here I guess things haven't gone quite to (his) plan. I half expect an embarrassing U turn and re-introduction to the first team squad. Needs to be a bit more consistent and error free to work his way back in to Ralphs plans though. And without the rigorous pre season the others have been exposed to I suspect he is already a bit off the pace.
I know it's only pre season and he's not featured in any games yet but Hoedt looks really up for it in the videos I've seen; working hard and seeming to enjoy himself. There's no doubt he's a decent player but in between the occasional MOTM performance for us there has been some horrible mistakes and and a distinct lack of speed. Much of that is down to mental and physical fitness. Personally (and assuming we don't sign a new CB before the season starts) I would like to see him given a chance (by Ralph and by the fans).
And Forster has been more evident in preseason as well. He's on a long contract and can yet be useful if he is regaining some of his previous form. Be an advantage to us not to have to seek another keeper to be an understudy to Gunn.
Trezuguet signs for Villa....they are certainly pushing the boat out with the number of their signings. https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2019/07/24/trezeguet-signs-for-aston-villa
I must admit I thought Alex was younger than he is, with both being around the 30 mark i guess it is much of a muchness. Just that McCarthy has had more recent form I guess.
He had two MOTM twice last season as I recall - on here as well! Just never did it week in week out which us what you need. Mind you, being MOTM in the team Hughes put together would not have been anything to brag about....
