It is a spectator sport down this way mate. Saw a seagull practically take a bit of pasty literally out of a poor woman's mouth in Plymouth city centre. Funny as **** though. <laugh>

I love watching the quick sequence of shock, anger, indignation and then resigned acceptance, from people who have their pasties/sandwiches stolen by Gulls. It's like a bereavement process sped up in microcosm <laugh>

I probably find it way too funny and entertaining if I'm being honest. I think that's partly down to the utter hysteria surrounding Gulls when it comes to food. How dare nature encroach into our towns !

On a similar theme, another thing that makes me laugh is the utter hysteria over dog ****. Yes I get it that nobody wants to step in dog **** so if your dog ****s on the pavement, pick it up.

But if you're out in the natural environment, just flick it into a hedge or boot it out the way, it's a perfectly natural biodegradable substance that will break down and get eaten by slugs and snails etc. What pisses me off is seeing people put it in a plastic bags and then chucking the plastic bag in the hedge.

Meh, around here alligators eat people's dogs... Not the seagulls.

At least Alligators have cool eyes that reflect at night like a cats eye though.

I use biodegradable bags too... But as an FYI biodegradable bags only biodegrade so much... They're not completely green, that bag you throw in the hedge thinking it will completely biodegrade... Won't.

There's a bit of OCD in me that wants you all to stop calling them seagulls for **** sake.

Children call them seagulls. They're gulls.

Just likes Koalas aren't Koala bears.

    Got it!!

At a "Girls scout cookie booth" that I was monitoring as a parent last year, this one girl in my daughter's troop kept referring to them as chickens. She kept saying "look at all the chickens".

Shame there weren't any Panda Bears or Killer Whales around to come grab her.

Alligators are overrated. Especially on land. I could get round the side kick the **** out of it or fist down proper punch it in the head. Worst case is (and far more likely what I'd do) out run it without breaking a sweat.

Gulls vs Gators. Gulls win easy!

Gators fear people more than seagulls do. Alligators will do their darndest to get out of your way. I wouldn't mess with them in May when they're nesting but I've kayaked in Alligator heavy waters without seeing one because they hide if they even think a human might be in the area.

"seagulls" are generally more aggressive than the more placid "gulls"
