Hello, team. Not been on for a few days but some disappointing news from Stratford, at the weekend, was that Doubly Clever was claimed out of the Blake barn following the seller. Johnny Farrelly (boo hiss!) got him for £8,000. A really lovely old boy who had been at the yard for over 4 years and won 6 races for the stable. Also ran 5th at the ’16 Cheltenham Festival. Doubly Clever’s hurdling rating is currently 19lbs below its peak so if you rate Johnny Farrelly (boo hiss!) you would be confident he could do some damage with the horses current mark.

Meanwhile, I trust later on we will all be raising a glass and/or saluting our new PM. I’ve total faith as he’s one of us and rather, like my good self, people of all ranks all feel the same thing about him. Good, good.

    catterick,5 10:

not many in really fresh form,so also my choice ASCOT DREAMER.but on the plus side, his last win in april has been working out well in the meantime,so if he can raise his game today, would be a live contender..
