I would tend to agree that I am really optimistic about this season. However, I think the first month will be difficult and we will struggle to picks up points in August. We never seem to start our campaigns well anyway but once we have got a new central defender on board, I will be pretty comfortable with having a stress-free season in 19/20. I thuink we will finish top half.
Yes, but with my expectation of the pounds value of the next 12 months, it’ll be worth less than what he puts in that hole!
The Burnley game is the easiest, I think. Liverpool will be difficult to beat and I think it will be interesting to see how Man Utd turn out this season. I think they may become resurgent although they could easily do down hill too. I think we will struggle for the first 4 weeks but expect us to have caught up by December. This season looks like one where there are some pretty weak teams and I can envisage a similar relegation battle as last season where there was a clear gap with the bottom three. I expect Sheffield Utd to be a surprise package and I have my eyes on both Newcastle and Norwich getting relegated. I have a funny feeling that Bournemouth's Premier League tenure may come to an end although I would be concerned if I was a Brighton fan. The thing I look forward to most this season is playing without fear. I think we will discover a lot about the real Hassenhutl this season - last spring was just a taster of the potential.
He'll likely being doing rigourius tests and fly out later in the week too meet the rest of the group.
Aldershot beat Portsmouth 4-0...no idea if it was a weakened side. A trialist scored twice for Aldershot....not done himself any harm.
