The reality of out of contract deals is that the players normally get a higher wage and a fairly chunky signing on fee. The article says associated costs rather than a transfer fee.
 
The only good thing about this mess is once Rangers pay the damages, which will be based on projected sales of merch. for this season and the next so will be a hefty bill we are rid of SD for good.

Whether that makes up for the absolute fùck up by Dodgy Dave and his minions is another story.

I get that, but since when has the Record taken those factors into consideration when talking about a transfer? Why on Earth would they take his wages into consideration? Agent fee and player's signing on fee, fair enough but can't see that amounting to £1.7m. I need answers, Moses.
