Not sure what all the fuss is about after all Ruel Fox was born and bred in Ipswich and lives back there now coaching in local football. I have seen Andre play a lot and he isn't a patch on his old man at that age but good luck to him if he's chasing mega bucks.
Mourgos back to Dordrecht has been confirmed by the club. - NCFC LOAN PLAYERS League One: Sean Raggett (Portsmouth), Carlton Morris (Rotherham) League Two: Mason Bloomfield (Crawley) National League South: Ciaren Jones (Eastbourne) Scottish Premiership: Simon Power (Ross County) Scottish Championship: Josh Coley (Dunfermline) Holland (second tier): Charlie Gilmour (Telstar), Savvas Mourgos (Dordrecht)
I agree, if he can see it as a great career move and a route to the PL and a top career I think he would be bonkers not to join us. I know there might be a pang of pain as he has doubtless been brought up a binner and I'm sure he has binner friends, but if there are no other offers from other clubs that look as good, I think he and his dad would probably do what's best for him and his career even if that was joining Norwich. A case in point was an article a while ago about some suposedly prodigeously talented youngster from Bury St E, his father was a town fan, but he could see that his sons prospects in the game would be much better served with our set up with Catagory 1 and pushed him to go for Norwich ahead of other options. This was even before Webber and Farke, but I think after our win in the youth cup. Bah!
Evans has systematically destroyed our club and we are heading for oblivion so I don't blame him for jumping ship. After 40 years of loyal support I have lost all interest nowadays, Spurs are also interested in him and I would imagine that he would choose to go there ahead of anyone else as his old man has close links to Spurs.
Spyrou could face Sheffield United in a pre-season game very soon. I was surprised the Blades are facing a non-league side this late in pre-season, so looked at their fixtures. Barnsley, Northampton and Burton are their biggest tests - ideal prep for the Prem?
There's also Caleb Richards who's at Tampa Bay til 30 Nov. and doing well. He plays on the left side of a back three. Caleb says "It’s definitely a step up from the under-23s that I would be playing back home.”
What they've ripped up is their first team from last season. Furlong is the replacement for Liverpool loanee Holgate, Ajayi is the (far less experienced) replacement for Craig Dawson, while Zohore fills part of the gap in the front line created by the departure of two experienced strikers, loanee Gayle and Jay Rodriguez, who between them scored 45 of the Baggies's goals. That leaves the loanee Krovinovic, who has to be something of an unknown quantity as far as the Championship is concerned, which can also be said of Bilic despite his vast experience at international and top tier level. I don't see any signs there of the kind of systematic overhaul that e.g. Wolves undertook to propel themselves back to the EPL. West Brom were everybody's favourites for an immediate return to the top division last season and I don't see any sound reason why they should be seen in a similarly rosy light this season either.
Newcastle smash transfer record to land Joelinton - https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2019/0723/1064847-newcastle-smash-transfer-record-to-landjoelinton/
Another 9m spent by Villa, with a 15m move expected for a Man City youth player. Over 100m and counting.
9 new players, 10, if the Man City youth player rumour is true. Also looking for a Goalkeeper, and strong links suggest they have bid 14M for Benrahma from Brentford. That would be 12 new players.
I wonder if (and I'm pretty sure they will) have a bad start that the owners will be looking for a new manager?? Edit - VERY few of their new arrivals will have had much pre-season time together - UNLIKE the n majority of the NCFC squad!!
