Arsenal are also struggling to complete a deal to sign Kieran Tierney, Sky Sports News understands. Celtic believe Arsenal’s second offer of £18m plus £7m in add-ons is unrealistic because the additional payments are linked to Champions League qualification. Celtic believe Arsenal should move on to other targets if they cannot afford Tierney. Celtic trolling Arsenal.
"So how much are you offering us?" "Well it's £18m, plus another £7m when we qualify for the champions league." "So £18m then?" "No, 18 plus another 7." "Right, 18, like we said."
Repeat of what we discussed the other week. Celtic do not believe the Goons will be in the CL any time soon, even with Tierney on their starting XI. All that remains in this saga is for Levy to put in a higher bid.
Most reports suggest it will be in the region of £57-60m, which makes sense as 20% of that will go to PSG, leaving Betis with appx £45m as stated. No way is that going to be the flat fee though as we bid £53m for him last month and it was rejected. Obviously payment structure is a huge factor for transfers in this range but I can't see it being a total fee less than circa £60m.
i reckon that it's likely to be £45m up front plus some pretty serious add-ons. Even so, it's a cracking price for a talent like Lo Celso and should leave us with some money to sign a Sessegnon or two?
IMHO his is both true and untrue. True, in that is what Betis will get. Untrue, in that Lo Celso will cost around the touted price. I believe Spurs, by currently having a decent current relationship with PSG, have agreed to decouple the sell-on payment so that Spurs and PSG deal directly with it, and Betis are spared the financial stress it currently puts on their summer transfer activity.
Sessegnon arriving will depend on Rose departing, simple as that. And the latter will cover the bulk of the former's reported £25m fee. If Rose stays, so does Sessegnon I reckon.
I'm finding it hard to envisage Rose being at the club next season. We've taken Toby and Christian Eriksen on tour, when either could be out the door at any moment but left Rose at home? That can only mean that Rose's time at the club is done. If we don't sign Sessegnon in this window, I'd be very, very surprised.
Same. But a lot depends on whether he can find a club. PSG were rumoured to be interested...and maybe just maybe the Lo Celso sell-on fee will magically disappear as a result of Rose moving there for a similar amount?
If it's been made clear to him that his time's up, then he'll sort something out. As he told everyone a few years ago, he's on less than he's worth, so, at least money shouldn't be a problem. PSG would be a great move for him as I'm not seeing any of the top PL clubs moving for him. I'll thank him for his efforts but it's time to move on.
I have been ripping the piss out of this, on the Prem board. Pixie hasn't had the stones to respond to any of my comments, yet.
None of them moving for Toby or Eriksen either, maybe the spurs supporters opinion of players is slightly inflated
Or the fear of doing business with Levy. If there was a serial killer operating in your neighbourhood would you spend all of your night-time hours actively seeking him/her?
