If we had to lose one, I'd rather lose Salah than Mane but I'd rather not lose either. We don't need the money so no reason to sell. Salah is a great player, but just like I said about Coutinho when he left, he's not going to be the same player if he leaves. The reason these players look so good for us is that Klopp has hand picked and trained them for specific roles in which they excel and fit. Put Salah in Real Madrid's team and he'll be a decent winger but he won't be winning any balloon doors. There are better outside forwards out there. Salah is ideal for us and fits us perfectly, but RM would be better spending their money elsewhere, and we have no reason we should want to sell. Salah fits best at Liverpool.
On one hand, you're right. On the other hand, Mbappe is a fun name to say, so I hope we sign him one day.
There have been several stories about agents looking to move their clients against their wishes. Can't remember a recent one maybe Falcao? Don't forget that every move makes the agents more money. It's in their interests to keep moving their clients as often as possible hence them talking to clubs all the time.
No way should we pay him 400k a week whether he wants to stay or leave. The minute players ask for 400k they should be shown the door imo... if its even true.
I'm wondering if this is the new normal. Player transfer fees have gone up faster than wages have. 5 years ago £30mill was a season defining headline transfer and £200k p/w was about the upper limit in Britain. Now a season headline transfer is going to be £100 mill and £300k p/w seems to be about the upper limit in Britain... If wages match inflation in transfer fees we're going to be seeing players get half a million every week before long.
I don't even think Salah would be that good for a team that plays a different system than we do. Hazard for example will fit Real Madrid far better than Salah would.
I'd rather not lose either but, I realise I'm in the minority when I say, I'd rather keep Salah. He was made for Liverpool.
So Zidane says bale is close to leaving as he’s not wanted.. not many teams can afford him. Bayern, psg?
bayern have just lost ribbery and robben to age haven't they? if they went for bale still have same problem very soon, and being injury prone he worth the risk. psg along with city can spend what they like and makes little difference it seems, yeah get punished in cl maybe, but still walk the ruddy domestic league.
I don't know Ole's transfer nous but Bale seems a very "United-type" transfer. Very well know name with attached ego, that may or may not fit style of play but at least it's a big name.
