10K took you over an hour? Maths . That's a K every 6 minutes - roughly 4 mph?? That's bloody walking pace - Whitts was faster than that (but not that often ).
....on the other hand, 10K is about 6 miles so you must have averaged 6 miles an hour. Maths was never my strong point - but Whitts was still faster..........
Come and join us next time Sparks. You'll love it. In fact an active midfielder covers about 9k over 90 minutes with a 15 minute break in the middle. No faster than me. And I didn't stop.
Aye, but you can't take a free kick to save your life.... Many thanks for the invite Bluey, but I think Ill stick to what I'm good at............now where's that Peroni?.........
And you would know that how? Back in my Cardiff and District days I was known as a free kick expert. Unfortunately more so for giving them away.
Should be arriving back home about now (Friday evening) after a couple of glorious weeks down here in the New Forest, but you can't get too much of a good thing - maybe I'm just greedy? Weather and the place in general is glorious and is set to continue. Noticed on the net that this property we've been in wasn't booked for this week commencing tonight, so hatched a Baldrick cunning plan this morning. Spoke to the owners (through the agents) and pointed out they weren't going to get any income for the week so how about we do a deal? How about they postpone the changeover cleaners due in today until Tuesday, and we stop over for a few days for a couple of hundred in his back pocket? It worked. Will now be back next Tuesday and have restocked the Peronis.....
There's always a deal to be done Furter - you know it makes sense. Back home now, going again in September (different place though) and negotiating for next year already......
Staying in Poole for 2 weeks. Had a lovely day at your recent stomping ground yesterday Sparks. Stopped at a spot by the river in Brockenhurst. Glorious. Visited by roaming horses and cattle, all pretty friendly. No sheep though.
Aye, the lack of sheep was a bit of a worry - the horse's legs don't fit in the wellies.......... Enjoy yourself Bluey. I suppose it depends on what you're looking for from a break, but that place suits me down to a tee. Happened to look at some of the house prices in Brockenhurst and had a bout of vertigo.....
Due to be in rhayader next week, avoiding our roaming horses, cattle and sheep. 4 days at the Royal Welsh Show and every morning and evening with my rod in my hand stood in the River Wye harrassing the trout. Problem is, I'm currently flat on my back with a trapped nerve in my lower back. Hopefully another trip to the chiropractor tomorrow will ease things.
Hope it all gets sorted for you Remote so you can enjoy dangling your rod. Spent this morning playing golf (very badly, I'm sh1te at golf) and after a nice pint been watering my daughter's garden. Read it as it is written. Not a euphemism for anything else. It's baking down here.
Glad you're enjoying it Bluey - looks like the continuation of the great fortnight (and a bit ) I've just had down that neck of the woods.
Thanks blue. Original injury 30 years ago egg chasing. Had episodes every 6, 12 or 18 months since. This is by far the worse I've had, including the original injury. Tweaked it about 6 weeks ago lifting the electric motor off the back of a boat. Was sat sideways and twisted. Had pins and needles in the toes of my left foot since. That was ok, then i doubled up on it gardening a week ago. Can't sit down as i get so much pain in my left calf. Makes enjoying some of lifes under rated pleasures very difficult. Just started raining in cheshire.
I have been in Poole this week but just shot off to Truro t0 shake up a bit of work. lovely area this. Son was diving in Swanage all weekend.
still trying to get my back sorted, though the royal welsh next week looks like a no no. Might see if my daughter can fetch some horse tranquilisers home from the yard. Should do the trick. part of today's treatment was acupuncture. First time I've had it done. Strange experience. Not unpleasant, just strange.
Could say something about pricks but will refrain. Had physio recently. After acupuncture he put some electronic sensors on my back and gave me a handset. When it bleeped I had to press the up arrow to increase the electric input. I was f'ing tasering myself. Quite liked it though.
Remote, a proper Thai massage would sort you out. Always works on my shoulders. I used to have a back problem and a chiropractor sorted it out in days, very similar to a Thai massage.
Loved my Thai massages, always got a stiffy...happy endings! Not so with the big mama’s on the beach! Much hurts!
Ok, no horse tranqs, no thai massage, but been to doc's today and he gave me some big tablets that kill the pain. Doesn't solve the problem, but it'll hide it for a week, so will be down in Rhayader tomorrow and fishing the wye. Monday and the first day of the royal welsh. Back to the chiropractor a week monday. Tonight, after a couple pills and a couple generous splashes of home made sloe gin and pain free for the first time in a few weeks. Maybe not the most sensible option but when needs must......
