Simple question really. At the Chelsea game I felt, and I might be totally wrong but I felt there were moments in the second half when there were undertones and murmurs of discontent that almost bubbled over. Our home form is terrible, there's no getting away from it and I for one, am not feeling confident about the Stoke match. Stoke have come on leaps and bounds over the past few seasons, slag their football off all you like, it's ugly but it's also effective and they're grinding out more and more results lately. I've read many opinions on here over the past weeks about time-lines and how long people expect Bruce to be given before anything 'too' drastic happens. Some say he should be given till next year, some until Christmas, others (myself included) think it could be much sooner. If we play poorly come Sunday and the result is bad will the crowd play a deciding factor in Mr B's future? I reckon the boo's will ring round the SOL come full-time if the result is a wrong one for us? That said, I hope we stuff Stoke ... then again I 'hoped' we'd stuff Chelsea too .....
slow handclap and polite tut tut from the east stand faithful, we are a polite lot. The ruffians in the North Stand may be rowdy, lots of working class chappies in there.
I think it would turn really nasty and would be the death nell of Bruce and Quinn. If we go 2 down at any stage, there will be a mass exodus and possible demo outside. Bart PS - SAFC 2 SAFC Reserves 0
A good mate has just moved his season ticket with his son across to the east stand from just along from the crazy corner. He says it's a very 'different' atmosphere over that way but the views miles better. Can't have it both way I guess. Would you be partaking in the polite tutting then Syd?
I reckon there will a lot of discontent amongst the fans but I'm unsure if that will influence shorts decision at all. If anything it will just discourage the players.
Were gonna get stuffed cos the players have no direction as there manager is ****ing clueless and looks defeated before a ball is kicked! There will be boos sunday afternoon and rightly so if we get served the ****e we have been served at home since the turn of the year, simple!
Absolutly, I sit behind sunderpit and we can often be heard giving the odd tut, I once shouted bugger, forgot myself for a while. I hope you stay away, things are bad enough without your positive input.
The only way we will win the game is if we put them under pressure right from the start, if we sit back and defend eventually they will score and as we all know once were 1 down that's the end of it. We need to be 2 up to feel comfortable.
next 3 games are Stoke, Norwich and WBA do or die for Brucie if things don't go to plan he should be out after WBA 3games to turn it around or he's gone for me
If we get beaten 10-0, you will still easily be able to spot Cyprus. He will be the one with 'Bruce 4 Ever' t-shirt on, waving a Steve Bruce flag for all its worth and singing 'we shall overcome' outside the players entrance
He (Bruce) and us (SAFC) simply cannot afford to lose the game, as there is a danger of total freefall if we do lose 3 home games on the trot in a new season.
