They only had to do one thing to stop Brexit: agree to reform before the referendum. They refused. Now, despite a wave of anti-EU sentiment across Europe, they're still hell-bent on full political and financial union. Von der Leyen is already talking of a United States of Europe as the solution. Guy Verhofstadt has spoken of removing the veto to prevent individual nations being a pain in the arse, the way the UK has always been to the project. Even the most ardent remainers have never been full-on, though it took Ken Clarke until 2012 to admit joining the Euro would've been a mistake. That after all his dire warnings of cliff edges and economic disaster if we didn't join, just as he predicts the same things now for post-Brexit.

Despite it being obvious that reform is not on the table, remainers continue to sell the idea (myth, delusion, lie, put it on a bus and call it what you will) that "remain and reform" is an option. Nobody knows what voting remain would mean, which is ironic.

The Brexit thing is just a case of rolling the dice. Will we be better off in or out of the EU, well we'll know in ten years or so.

Its easier to follow the status quo then take a chance but either way no ones got a clue how the future will turn out

I love the fact that any of the parties think they can negotiate a "good deal", the EU can't let us have one or the whole lot will fall apart. I think we will leave with no deal as the EU will just say "p*ss off we have had enough of this messing about"

You are a Liverpool fan, arenĀ“t you? And most people in Liverpool are pro-Remain. Surprised you are not!!! And your last sentence is extremely ironic. When the minority of the population voted Brexit did anyone have a dickie what they were voting for? It has empowered the likes of Rees-Mogg, Farage, the Johnsons, Murdochs. Are these the people you want in power? Thought not!!!

No competition. Woodward has lost that by a country-wide mile.

MPs have burst out laughing at Theresa May for praisingBoris Johnsonin a final humiliation before the vain Tory takes over her job.

Mrs May was put on the spot in her last ever Prime Minister's Questions when asked if she was happy handing over to an MP blighted by lies, gaffes and scandal.

She replied: "I am pleased to hand over to an incoming leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister who I worked with when he was in my Cabinet."
