Exclusive: Bristol City have their eyes on Sheffield Wednesday striker after Portugal fancy Robins looking to recruit at least one more forward this summer with Portuguese interest https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...exclusive-bristol-city-eyes-sheffield-3100858
Such lazy reporting, they cannot even be bothered to research properly, who is this Luke Williams we sold to QPR?? Bloody useless.
Steve Bruce leaving may scupper this move, their new manager will want to assess what he has at his disposal before deciding who goes and who stays. As LJ likes to have a good amount pre-season time with new players, I suspect the timing will be wrong on this signing.
Day 72 Emery's quotes in this link about giving young players a chance looks like we won't get Nketiah.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49027925
Hence the supposed interest in the Sheff Weds player,i thought he looked good up at Hillsborough end of this season looked quality. Clearly having issues recruiting strikers it seems.
Yeah we've always had issues recruiting strikers, just look at Baldock, Wilbraham, Abrahams, Kodjia, Diedhiou and Weimann all total failures as was the experiment of moving Reid up front!
Not content with buying players direct from you this ladt couple seasons, were now buying second hand. Apparently weve just agreed to buy aiden flint.
Former Bristol City star Aden Flint in Cardiff for medical ahead of Bluebirds switch The 6ft 6in defender is set to link back up with Bobby Reid https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/former-bristol-city-star-aden-3105289 I wish Flinty well, hope he gets what he deserves, he done well for us, if Cardiff is his choice, I hope he has a bad day against us but I still wish him well, not bad for £4m, we got £7m, good ol' Flinty.
I loved Flint, proper old school CH in both boxes, and guess what, he will score against us - guaranteed.
He didn't for Boro, in fact he didn't look anywhere near the same player for them. No surprise he wants out of there, I wonder if we had of sold Webster, whether LJ would have been tempted at £4m?
Supcon I only saw the odd highlight of Boro games so can't agree or disagree. If Webster had gone I'm not sure whether LJ would have brought him back. However, I think Warnock and Flint will suit each other down to the ground.
Bristol City ‘I’m just not convinced’ – Bristol City eyeing up move for 10-goal forward: The Verdict https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/i...eing-up-move-for-10-goal-forward-the-verdict/
I loved Flint, bit he’s the past , rarely is it good to take someone back. Too old now , and wages too high , only possible fit would be a senior pro like Wilbraham was, nah not for me. I wish him all the best at the sheep botherers , but not when they play us.
