You will forever be known as the country who once scored a goal against Brazil, on black and white telly
The umpires made a mistake and we benefitted . Sorry to disappoint you , but the England cricket team did not cheat .
Your butthurt is strong. England is the first country to win the football, rugby and cricket world cups. Scotland are good at curling.
I cant get my head around the fact that if a ball bounces off a running batsman and shoots away for a four then the batsman gets the runs. Although I suppose he would have been out if it had bounced off him and hit the stumps whilst still out the crease.
I think it's simply the fact it hit the boundary . Agnewxwas saying there is an agreement where if it happens , the batsmen don't run . But a boundary is a boundary and there's nothing anyone can do about that .
It's just four overthrows, simple as that. Would have been the same if it had bounced off a fielders head or arse, as long as it then reaches the boundary. Ergo, not cheating.
I don’t get this chat about the extra runs. It’s the rules. Likes it’s the rules that if you are avoiding a bouncer and don’t play a shot, but hits you and goes for 4 it’s still runs. Happened to NZ. Just one of those lucky things.
The rule is if the batsmen haven't crossed then it should've been 5 runs given not 6. And maybe Aldo has a point about how some of the England fans would've reacted if it had been the other way round. But the way I see it is this sort of ****'s happened so often against England in different sports, that if for once it goes our way then why not!
@Red Hadron Collider Hope you're well! Anyway, not a great start today; https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/cricket/66854204 (a few missing persons on this thread)
Today was just like our first game against them in the summer. We royally messed up our batting, it was a good pitch and 350+ was needed but too many players got in and out because we were in too much of a hurry and it cost us. Sure we'll be fine though and NZ will make the semis because they always do.
South Africa look nailed on from the little I've seen of it. I can see them doing the double in Rugby and Cricket.
