Even you don't believe that fosse.

Is morgan currently a better defender than maguire (not when morgan was back in his prime)? Of course he isnt. Which is what is being debated at the moment

Not now mate ... because his legs are gone ... but in his time with us? .. yes ... Robert Huth too.

... and I doubt Wes will start that many games those season, barring injuries

His defensive brain and positional sense, possibly ... but the legs have gone ... Harry will improve in those aspects with age ... he is also virtually impossible to mark at set pieces fairly ...

Then in reality i.e. the present, he’s not a better defender at all.

    So his assertion was bollocks.

I didn’t, I said I’d take Maguire over him now. I wasn’t clear what I mean though I can see.
Basically what Fosse has said. I was comparing Maguire purely as a defender (as I said his strengths come in creating from the back) against the defenders I’ve seen for us in the past 3/4 years. Evans, Morgan and even Huth (until they’ve left or legs have gone as per Morgan) all had superior traits required for a defender such as reading of the game, positioning etc that Maguire just doesn’t have at that level. That’s what I meant, of course I wouldn’t have Morgan over him now as those strengths aren’t enough when the legs have gone. Evans however is our strongest CB and raised the level of those around him

Not necessarily ... I gave my opinion. John tmight feel that Wes is still better in a purely defensive centre back capacity. Maguire is like having a deep lhing midfielder as well as a defender. John is entitled to his opinion ... and arguably more qualified to do so than you and other non Leicester fans as he will have watched both players more
... but thanks for your contribution, nonetheless.

You drunk already mate? You responded to this already.

As for johns reasoning, its easy to confuse because his argument makes no sense and is irrelevant. Talking about morgan being a better defender 4 years ago is how peter sexpest would go about a debate of why leicester will be okay now

  18. Leicester City have promised England centre-back Harry Maguire, 26, he can leave if Manchester United or Manchester City eclipse the £75m Liverpool paid for Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk and set a new world record fee for a defender. (Telegraph)

If this is true, the lady is stuck at Leicester, and his "come and get me" pleas have been in vain.

... you mean apart from the £80 million bid from United and medical today? <doh> <laugh>

In fairness, Quentin, both the bid and the reports if the medical are unconfirmed press reports ... but if you'd read the Harry Maguire and Summer Transfer threads threads you might have avoided the potential for another of your legendary calamitous **** ups ... there are more information sources than the BBC Gossip Column fella <cheers>

    ....

  20. Sorry, Bambs...

You were saying something about a calamitous fcuk up...?
