Í recently read an article which was entitled "Follow your gut instinct and be prepared to make enemies". In there was an amazing quote which was "people feel they have the right to throw metaphorical rocks and undermine - whilst it is arduous to make things happen and create".

For the first time in a while I'm loving the attitude of the majority of the posters on here, as well as other sites. I detest the doom mongers and the "Jack oot" brigade.

The team need not just our vocal support at games but moral support on forums such as these.

Divisiveness is evil and well done to all those on here who are giving the SAFC team (board, management, and players) a bit of positivity and a real chance.

For those who feel the need to criticise everything please **** off.

I'm still dubious about Grigg and Wyke being able to score Maja's number of goals but there's still time to sign a CF and maybe Grigg will be like a new man or Ross has worked out how to create chances for him.

Everything else is tickety boo and there's a lot of cause for optimism and a great feel about the club in general.

All I wanted this summer was McGeady to stay, and he has.

I think we’ve got enough to compete, even with my reservations about attacking CM and CB.

I can’t wait for the first game, see exactly where we are. I think the league is weaker this year.

There’s us, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Peterborough for me. I don’t see any of those 3 being as consistent as Luton, or as strong overall as Barnsley were.

I'm hoping Grigg will hit the ground running after the settling in period. He was a bit of a disappointment for me but he's got a good record in this league and hopefully pre-season gets him fully fit and firing on all cylinders and getting goals. Though I obviously want all of our signings to be a success, I don't see a CF in Wyke:emoticon-0145-shake

Too many times he looks for his CB and tries to buy a foul when he should be looking to use his attributes of size and play more like an old-fashioned battering ram of a CF and win the ball. I'd be looking to move him on.

As a whole we need to do well in the pre-season games to build some momentum and get off to a rapid start.

I’ve never been convinced with wyke.
I’ll back him when he wears our shirt
However I remember when the ball hit the bar and on the way down he headed it back over the bar
Never played anywhere near his hype
Let’s hope he starts the new season
    And as you say
    Hit the ground running

Wyke did improve massively and partially carried us from March onwards, before disappearing in the playoffs.

I’ll reserve judgement on him until 5 games in, assuming he’s still here.

    Oviedo sold for cash

    Honeyman for Maddison

    Wyke for Marquis.

    That would be nice.

I'd be happy with that. Send an e-mail into the club mate.

Benji could step up imo if given a run of games.

For want of a delusional comment I think we will absolutely p*ss the league this time with or without any more signings.

He probably could aye, the talent's clearly there as is his athleticism but he needs that game time to file away the rough edges. Could be a big season for him.

One thing I think will be in our favour is that we're more like just another team in league one now and less of a scalp so the other teams shouldn't soil their boxers in excitement at the thought of beating us as much.

It helps when you still have a manager in place and the squad seems to be taking shape nicely.

Just been reading the latest on Bolton and I tell you what, we are fortunate.

That could so easily have been us. Easily.

There’s a reason to be positive right there.
