Andrew Windsor was a trade envoy for this country for many years, it was an unpaid post, but he got paid expenses, he also had an army of people helping him as well, all down to the tax payer as well. It was said he had equerries and even a valet who carried an ironing board around with him to iron Windsor's trousers. Not too long ago, Wilkileaks revealed that a leading retired diplomat called him a boorish, bungling buffoon. Another said he was rude to other people, and seemed to be out of his depth, at meetings. A lot of critics accused him of feathering his own nest, rather than increasing our business opportunities. Then we come to his friendship with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who he knew for many years. Surprisingly or not, prime minister Cameron backed Windsor. To his credit he resigned from the post, the best day's work he has done in his life.
Doesn't it irk you that we have a national anthem that doesn't honour the country or its people ? it just honours one person.
Exactly, there is not one reference to the country, which is what an anthem should do, its all about Elizabeth Windsor. For the record, the author of this anthem is unknown. Was probably composed on a drunken night out, and not surprising that anyone would not own up to it. Its simply awful, a five year old could work it out on a piano in no time.
