Cricket World Cup 2019

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Spurlock, Jun 3, 2019.

  1. Their rugby team are animals who more or less get away with murder and they're a poor man's Wales.
But my old man left us to shack up with a new Zealander and she was a **** - so I may not be impartial...

What a day, what a game. Unbelievable.

We got lucky as the key moments went in our favour. That deflected “6” was just freakish.

Not complaining but I agree that it would’ve been more enjoyable to do that against the Aussies.

    I’m very tired now.

The most dramatic and intense finish in any sport I've ever seen!

Absolutely insane - the stress was incredible.

We did get the rub of the green but the guys also never gave up.

Feel for New Zealand but I'm absolutely delighted!

    Get in.

    Anyone recovered yet?

**** me that would be tough to take being on the wrong side of that. Score the same amount of runs over 50 overs and then in the super over yet lose

As we drew in the superover they should have replayed the over. To win by hitting more boundaries is harsh on New Zealand

Apparently the six with the extras in our final over should’ve been a five.

My views exactly. He’s a fighter - never gives up. We would never have won that game yesterday without him.,

Been confirmed we should have only been given 5 runs

It doesnt mean New Zealand would have won as we would have needed 3 to win rather then 2 off the last ball

Stokes would have tried to hit a boundary rather then just making sure he got bat on ball and who knows what would have happened

The luck was with us for once. The fielder stepping on the boundary when he caught Stokes and then the otherthrows plus been given an extra run

Tbh...if the Maths was wrong then thats a massive **** up regardless of what might have happened.

1 run when it shouldnt have been wins/loses you the game

ill take the luck but thats ****e and a basic error for such a massive game.

im one of these people that expects refereeing to be near perfect at the top of a Sport

How did someone conclude that mate? Surely they ran 2 and got 4 over throws?

If you look at frans comment on our cricket thread , it's something sky found out apparently . To do with the batsmen not having crossed when the ball was thrown in flow if it's TRUE it bollocks .
