I thought New Zealand lost it when they gave 6 runs in 3 balls at 2 runs a ball in the 36th Over, personally
I watch a bit of cricket, go to the Oval 2 or 3 times a year. I still have to have things explained to me. The one day rules keep changing, for a start.
New Zealand's Jimmy Neesham: "We knew we would have to fire a few shots. Credit to England for the way they stuck at it. On another day the coin may have fallen our way. We'll look back in a couple of years and say this was a pretty good experience. "That's the way we are as Kiwis, we get par scores and then scrap like hell. We don't blast teams off the park."
Tbh mate @Archers Road and I were the only ones who knew England would win. No fcking around with jinx bollox. Knew the run rate meant little with 4 overs remaining.
England all-rounder Ben Stokes: "I'm pretty lost for words. All the hard work over four years, to get here and be champions of the world it's an amazing feeling. I'm pretty done. "Playing against New Zealand is always a great event, they are a seriously good team and really good lads. I said to Kane Williamson I'll be apologising for that for the rest of my life."
You're having a cry this evening Slurpy. Get over your angst at England being Worrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrld Champions!!
Just waiting for @Suckmyklopp to come on and claim the 2005 Ashes and becoming WC champions today were both down to Livpl's CL wins. I know, I've gone and done it now
