Aye, It takes over my life for a while, i'm never off it till i get my pro up to standard to play him on world class, then after that i'm easy 3-4hours a day till seasons end. I'm 31, and live with my bird, i'm pretty sure this isn't normal behaviour like, worryingly, as i work barely any hours now since i moved over here, that 4 hours may easily be doubled, haha.
The thing that annoys me most is the autoswitch feature, where the game switches your play to the one marking or nearest to the recipient of an opposition pass, meaning it is impossible to get an intercept. Really annoys me that, hopefully they've sorted it out.
If the AI in Fifa 12 is anything like the demo then i'm not playing career mode or anything single player, ****ing ridiculous AI. Every goal the computer scores is from a random shot that some how gets so much power on it. I don't think my keeper has made a save yet, I've either defended and whenever the comp gets in it's an instant goal unless it skies the shot. I like the new way of defending but the new AI is ridiculous, and the new finishing system is ****, there was nothing wrong with the Fifa 11 finishing system. Also keepers are ******ed.
Only negative I can see so far is the passing. Seems so much slower than FIFA 11. Everything else has improved to some degree. You don't have to wait ages for subs now either!
Fifa 12 demo is quite good actually. Considering the squads are not up to scratch, I suspect this was made quite a while a go, so I gather there are issues. The things to take from it are: - The menus are simple so there will be (hopefully) no freezing or glitching. - The new dribbling system and the new tactical defending (which nobody will be good at for a while) will make an interesting combination in online matches, especially now they mean something with the H2H seasons. -The new commentator is worse than Andy Gray, I hate his accent, it's not a good voice for a assistant commentator. Apparently, Clive Tyldsley (sp) and Andy Townsend will be commentating on tournament matches, but there will be an option to have these two on permanently. These commentators are much better and help make the 2010 WC game pretty slick. -Sanchez, Messi and Villa are unbeatable and will even harder to defend against than the Barcelona attack was last year.
If you're good at it yes, but most people i played against just wellied the ball and hoped it went in because they couldn't score a finesse shot.
Most of it i've got down, it's just the finishing. Most shots i take i just going wide or just clipping the bar. Most of my games are finishing 0-0 or 1-0.
Aye. And they also haven;t improved the goal keeping. Shots role right passed keepers and they react 5 seconds too late.
Yep. I hope they sort out the finishing. I'd rather it be too easy than hard, because with it being hard, it's harder for you to score but the comp can still do it just as easily because it knows how to place things perfectly. And besides, finishing on Fifa 11 was only easy to players that were any good, most players still found finesse shots difficult, the evidence was that most players had to use the best teams and smash shots.

Finishing was unrealistic on Fifa 11, you could score long shots from 30 yards out with any striker or midfielder above 80. Scoring won't be too hard once you get used to the system. This will all be much better online (Career Mode has always been ****). The Head 2 Head seasons will make online fun if you don't like clubs.
You could score those sort of goals with anyone, because anyone can score them on their day, it didn't happen that often. You don't have to be a great striker of the ball to be able to score a screamer. But as you said it's getting used to the system. I found Fifa 11's finishing weird first time i played it but eventually i got used to it and i'm a master at it.
Just played 4 games on the demo. It's ****ing IMPOSSIBLE to defend now! My results were: Milan 0 - 3 Marseille Barca 0 - 1 Marseille Man City 1 - 1 Marseille (5-4 on Pens and my goals was a tramp across goal) Arsenal 0 - 3 Borrussia Dortmund
