My ambitions for the club are much higher : try to have both here.
But if Eriksen has any intention of trying to do #2 as I said, I want him
gone irrespective of whether Lo Celso comes.

  2. I want Eriksen to stay, but if his heart isn’t in it we’re best getting shot.

Sky reporting that Levy is meeting Baldini to discuss Toby's move to Roma.

I still can't get my head around that tbh. Even if they were to offer higher wages than we've offered, why on earth would he see a move there as a step up?!

In any event, as far as I'm concerned, Baldini pissed away the Bale money minus Eriksen and Chadli, so their opening bid better be £62m or we riot.

In an ideal world that will be great but it depends how much money we have to make the Lo Celso deal happen without having to sell Eriksen.

You’re basing your reasoning on possibly wanting Eriksen gone based on zero evidence. If he doesn’t want competition for his spot, then why on earth would he want to join Real Madrid where their depth is far greater than ours?

I’d actually find it quite funny as it would show that his intentions were always just to get the biggest pay cheque. Roma aren’t in the CL this season and won’t be competing with Juve for Serie A.

I've heard a few posters saying only De Bruyne can replace Eriksen or maybe even Hazard. Them two bring their A games to the big matches. Eriksen doesn't...some sharp eyes can see that.

KDB/Hazard are big game changers...if they are the only 2 that can replace Eriksen then that suggests that there's massive room for improvement from Eriksen.

I'm not too bothered about the statistics...it's like me saying 10 goals and 17 assists means he automatically turns up in the big ones..no he doesn't...you have to turn up to the big ones like KDB/Hazard do more often than not to be WC.

Kane is our only WC player...he can bang one in against anyone. A world class ACM can only be that if he takes the big games by the scruff of the neck....just like the 2 you mentioned.

For me this guy goes missing when the heat is on...great player for us but not WC.

Griezmann is 28 and £107 mill for a 28yr old who’s a striker is top money.

There are numerous clubs that could easily afford Eriksen if they were interested.

Whether Eriksen wants to join them is another matter. But if you don’t enquire you don’t know.

From all reports I’ve seen there seems to be a distinct lack of interest in Eriksen from any club that would be considered a step-up on a Spurs.

Assists in the two FA Cup Semi finals, goals against Real Madrid and Juventus, winning goal vs Inter, assists against Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal last season in the Prem, two against Man City in the CL. But he’s not a big game player... Lol ok.

£70m is also top money, especially when a player has just one year left on his contract. It’s why many are likely being cautious and possibly willing to wait 6 months to a year.

I don’t get the notion of a lack of interest. Man Utd, Barcelona and Real Madrid (the latter most of all) have all been linked in the media with him. Madrid will end up with either him or Pogba, hopefully it’s the latter.

Regardless of the time remaining on his contract, £70-80mill is easily affordable for any top club that are genuinely interested.

Levy is no fool, I’m sure it will come to ‘sign here, or on your bike’

And any club interested know they can wait 6 months and likely get him for half the price or another 12 months and get him for free. Regardless of how rich a club may be, if you can get a player for a cheaper price by waiting x amount of time then chances are a club will do so.

Unfortunately, this is a rare situation where Levy doesn’t have much power in. He’ll no doubt do his best to get the best price for Eriksen and no doubt he’ll get more for him than many other chairmen could but ultimately the power lies more with Eriksen in this situation.

How many teams have actually ever paid 80mill for a player ? Less than 10 I reckon so it's not that easily affordable

We’re never gonna agree, so I’ll leave it there.

In my book, and that of other Spurs fans, he’s good, but he ain’t indispensable, or irreplaceable, or anything close. And if he wants to dick around I hope Levy ****s him off.

Yes I’m sure there are others, but most would certainly rather keep him.

And he hasn’t dicked around but keep going with that narrative if it makes you feel better.

Why mention something has no fruition then? You obviously have an agenda against Eriksen for some bizarre reason.

Solid logic though, let’s hound out our best player, that’ll do us good.
