In that he signed wes brown.

The guy has literally held the team together and is the reason we have avoided 2 massive defeats against Liverpool and Chelsea, and a defeat to Swansea. If we had the same back 4 as last year, I would have us dead Certs for relegation.

Brown and possibly Oshea will save Bruce this year (i think) because we are looking (apart from the back 4) at the worst sunderland team we've seen in the last few seasons.

Just hope the fella stays fit. Mind you, I would have always thought that O'Shea would have been the one far more likely to stay injury-free.

I think Oshea has been slightly unlucky with injuries, but just to watch brown play for us is just completely different to any defender I've seen in a Sunderland shirt for a good few years. Hopefully Oshea replicates him, and I think we can avoid relegation. Even talking about relegation this season makes me feel sick but that's down to Bruce, and I think the fella has completely lost the plot. I will continue to support him, but I think he's too weak carracter to run this club.

Could you Imagen bent or gyan messing keane around like they did to Bruce? They wouldn't dream of it. I don't think the players fear Bruce, or more importantly respect him.

Now now, don't derail a fellow mackem's thread you little troublemaker you.

You guys won't go down imo. No way. I don't think you'll bounce back to be as awesome as many mackems/others expected this season, and I never have thought that, but you should do fine.

Can't call it luck. We're paying them decent money on long contracts. At their age they should be grateful.

Nothing to do with money or contracts, it's about them being in the team. Imagen if they turned us down and went elsewhere. I'd be booking my trips away to the likes of Doncaster next year. So yeah it is luck, luck that they came

Can't agree, mate. SAF was letting them go, so they needed a home. Good money at a top ten club is hardly an unpleasant prospect, even with their track record. I'm glad they came though. I can't say I was enthralled at the sight of Wes Brown wearing the stripes, but he's been proving me wrong so far and long may it continue.

If I'm an arsehole I get abuse, if I'm nice I get abuse. The guy thinks you guys are close to relegation candidates, I do not, even as a mag. What's the harm in saying so?

Don't be such a biased mong to even think that the team you have will get you 7th or 8th place glories, even if they gel well. Not a chance. Only some mackems thought that, mind. Others predicted around the middle of the table around 10th, which is what I would call more realistic.

Anyway, stop derailing threads from your fellow Sunderland supporter.

My first post on this thread was just joining in with the discussion like normal and responding to what you said. Look at it. I then had to make other posts to defend myself when Agent-Fat-Mike attacked me for absolutely no reason whatsoever and derailed your thread.

But it turns out that you're a massive **** as well. My mistake <ok>

Its funny how when Bruce drops a bollock he is a clown, when he gets it right he is lucky.

No it was a very good signing. But he's fortunate it came off, because the rest of the team is very very poor sid
