If you put it in for diagnostics and they couldn't find the problem then you've got trouble mate. You should get on to the AA and demand it goes into a Merc specialist.
Been out kayaking this morning. Mate lent me his ocean going kayak. Proper bad boy rig, it’s got loads of mounts for fishing rods, cargo net storage area and a couple of chambers to stash your weed and beers. Paddled for a couple of miles or so, crystal clear water and no swell so easy going today. This flat spell ain’t so bad after all

The diagnostic was only for the stop/start tbh. And that was done with the garage that does my Servicing. I asked this very question about a Merc specialist when I made the claim. The problem with these warranties is that there's a maximum labour rate which likely exceeds that of an official Merc specialist. I think it's £50 per hour. Interesting that when you add these warranties on you're thinking piece of mind , and then later you discover caveats you wouldn't always think of when adding it on Time will tell, but the garage they've recommended is a Merc specialist (not official obviously) and deals in a volume of AA warranty repairs so I'm going to keep fingers crossed they will sort it.
