There's never been a better tennis player. Even the fella he demolished today had to smile.
I doubt there will ever be a better player. A robot with character, charisma, guile & spontaneity - would never get anywhere close.
    Absolute pleasure to behold.

There's someone I know well who has a harder time than Konta getting to a semi. :emoticon-0106-cryin

A cunning plan Quill. I have more Czech friends than I have Hungarian. :emoticon-0100-smile

I'm not attempting to incite a border skirmish btw. :emoticon-0105-wink: The Slovaks are in the way.

Great vignette. Serena blasts the ball into Martin to win the point. A hand gesture from her to apologize - Murray's pissing himself with laughter which was hard to disguise. Smashing stuff.

Joanna Konta, Jesus Christ, she is as British as they come, obviously talented but no frigging bottle whatsoever. Its such a shame because she could win a major or two but seems to lack the mental strength and faith in her own ability, happened at the French and then again today, ahead and seemingly cruising then just blows up. The unforced error count today was damning.

Saw her interview. Good on her, poor line of questioning.

If Konta played to midnight she still wouldn't have won a set. Sadly outclassed and out bottled, but eh its only tennis. Its not as if its important.

I think you're both being a bit harsh. She came back from a set down in her last 2 games which, to me, shows some bottle. I think she was a bit too fired up today, hence the early unforced errors, and she lacks a bit of guile or as I mentioned earlier a plan B.
