    Maybe Ashley fancies himself in the role. It would save him having to pay £4m - £6m a year to someone who he then has to also provide transfer fundage to in order to keep him happy.

    I'm sure he would take great pleasure in monumentally ****ing us all off by announcing himself as the new manager whilst at the same time telling us that the takeover is off.
