Is that definitely it? Roker Report were saying it would have red trim on the shoulders and a round neck. They also said that it would be a sure hit with the fans but that is bloody awful.

I've seen worse, I mean it's average at best but it's not hideous. I'd pair it with white shorts and blue socks for a low budget Italy strip look.

Would have thought a dark blue away kit for us would be quite easy. Just update the hummel one from 1990.

I mean, putting it on a 30 clem fella doesn’t help but it looks supremely average, as per every kit in this adidas deal.

It's not looking any better. Probably the worst of the adidas kits we've had and that's saying something.

It really is a bodge job, Adidas don't usually do sponsor logos on a solid block background. Has this one also got the Betdaq logo underneath?

Must have. It's not a very nice template either. Feyenoord have it in grey and green and that's not good either. We're not important to them now we're in the 3rd division.

We never were sadly, which makes me sad coz as I’ve mentioned Adidas is my brand for life, not just sportswear, my literal favourite, but they have done a **** job from day one.

I love the Umbro lots last couple years, pure football if that makes sense. Let’s have them back thanks.

From some years back, I distinctly rememember spending, literally hours, in a sporting goods store with my young son, trying on every pair of Nike and Adidas shin guards. Kid size too small, adult size too big. Finally he tried on a pair of Umbro shin guards. Glass slipper stuff. Real men wear Umbro.

I like adidas trainers and their originals range. For footy kits though, they've been really unoriginal for years . I'm a bit of a football shirt obsessive, I've got a large collection of them. I don't wear them in public, other than at the match or round the house, because I'm a 39 year old man and try to have a bit of dignity but I can't stop buying them. Got them from all over. Bought an Accra Hearts of Oak away top on Saturday. It still grates that I couldn't buy a Slavia Sofia top when I went to see them play a couple of years ago. Got books on them, all sorts.
Anyway, I've made a detailed study of these things and its lead me to the conclusion that, with them being such an important element in the identity of the club and a massive revenue stream, there should be a lot more effort put in to making them unique to each particular club by the manufacturers. Nike and adidas just aren't interested in doing that, not even for the biggest clubs (although Nike's latest Roma kit is very good). Macron is one of the best for making bespoke kits and Umbro have been very good the last couple of years. I'd like to see us go with either of them next. Or hummel for nostalgia's sake. Some of their's have been very good recently (Sporting Braga third kit) but they do repeatedly use similar templates.

I agree. The frustrating thing is the like of adidas and Nike, when they actually bespoke a kit, do a superb job.

They’re all at it, Puma do the by numbers template then fire out the city away kit which is one of the most thoughtful and imaginative things I’ve ever seen.

We get our 2 bits of recycle and then Arsenal get the most beautiful throwback kits you’ll see all year.

I know we are League One, but we deserve at least a little bit of thought, surely?

The only football kit I actually have is a River Plate one I git off M&M direct for £4 and wear to doss around in, have a look on there if you are a collector mate get some absolute bargain footy shirts.
