Don't you think though with a lot of players it's how they react to a manager. Some of the best players need a special manager to bring the best out of them. Also the style of play it all has a bearing. When we have seen him play for Saints we have seen flashes but not a lot else. I wonder what he would be like if given a decent pre season and a bit of encouragement to play in his natural style.??
I like Lemina and think there is a great player in there on his day. He is very mercurial though, and doesn't really suit our style anymore.
Agreed, hard to forget that palace game where he absolutely ran the show. One of the best midfield performances I've seen for saints. He beat people so easily that day. He is just some good decision making and pressing effort away from being incredible. And those are things that can be taught (If hes bothered).
You can get away with strolling around the pitch in Italy to a certain extent, you don't get afforded that luxury often in the EPL.
It depends whether he is being pressed or not IMO. I doubt if he would be effective playing against us with our current high pressing style for example.
If he goes away and is a success at another club I will say fair play to him but Ralph clearly feels he is a commodity that we could cash in on and recycle elsewhere.
I agree...he is the one player that we are looking to sell who will probably be fantastic in another team. Just wasn't for us when we were struggling (not forgetting he was out injured for a while) and is presumably not considered suitable for us under RH.
I remember a couple of seasons back and he dominated the Utd game (even though we lost 1-0) he was brilliant....then next game didn't know he was playing.....but your right you just know he would have a blinder against us.
Got a feeling this one could come back to bite us, although if it means us getting a top CB then it would probably be worth it
