Not even thinking about Roofe or Phillips except to say that the expectations of these 2 players falls far short of what the club are so far offering. Morning all. Pre season is becoming something of a shambles unless we have some players lined up to come in. I thought Bielsa staying was supposed to bring stability and then a strengthening of the squad.
Morning all Don't know why everyone is so surprised at all the exits from ER. Bielsa did say at the end of last season that the team were not going to be able to give a repeat performance so he is doing something about it, and at the same time getting rid of some of the excess crap that has been a drain on the wage bill. I only hope he has got it right otherwise he will look a right plonka.

Yes true but they are both experienced players who know how the market works. Free transfers dont cost the club millions but carry a higher basic wage for the player. Just a fact of life in footy. Pontus is now on £20k per week which almost doubled his wage, Bamford came with a high transfer fee and also a high wage relatively speaking of £20k per week. Roofe probably deserves to be close to that and so too does Kalvin as Bamford was the top earner before Kiko landed.
