Ceballos looks a player, not seen much (or noticed) lo Celso. Out of the Spanish U21 team there was one player who stood out for me and I would love us to go for him Fabian Ruiz. The kid is a great all round midfielder with a terrific shot in both feet and has a good engine.
The bit that worries me about Lo Celso is that he couldnt get into the PSG team and i dont think anyone knew much about him...hadnt hear his name once. Plus hes coming from the Spanish league...hit and miss when it comes to any player who comes from Spain unless he is already an established star
Yeah the Spanish youth are strong again so no doubt they'll be back to challenging for the EURO's/ World Cup in the future. Can't say I've watched Lo Celso much either but after the links to us I done a bit of casual research. Very attack minded CM, averaged a goal every three games last season for Betis and that's something we massively lack in the central midfield, Winks, Dier, Wanyama and Sissoko got about 5 goals between them all season. He supposedly wants to join us but Betis are asking more for him than what we paid for Ndombele so chances are it'll depend on whether we do sell Eriksen and get more funds from deadwood sales.
Ruiz is actually 23 (one of the older ones) and plays for Napoli. The two games that stand out were the semis and final, hit the woodwork 3 times in one (from distance) and scored one (from distance), hit the work once (from distance) and scored two (from distance) all with alternate feet. Lucas couldn't get a game for them once Neymar and Mbappe joined though. Lo Celso joined them when he was like 19 or 20, they already had the likes of Verratti, Matuidi and Motta there plus Pastore and Rabiot too, was always gonna be tough getting minutes for them at his age coming to a new country. He's 23 now, good age as it's still young to improve but experienced enough to make an impact, had a great season for Betis too and seems to now be a starter for Argentina.
I know that both us and you have been linked with Dani Olmo, he scored in the final for Spain and think he picked up MOTM. Another that I can't say I've seen much of but plays for Dinamo Zagreb... Last guy we signed from them turned out alright!

Because control of the ball is fundamental to the way kids are taught here. They nearly always have a ball at their feet.

Not bizarre at all. Either the big clubs did not want those players, or they were not high priority positions but "nice to haves" (re the approach Spurs allegedly made to Palace for AWB etc) .
