English beer is **** mate. And to be fair I've never had Tartan or McEwans on tap. Most of the best beers though are European on draught. They knock spots off of the other ****e out there.
Believe wtf you like, I couldn’t give a ****. Btw, they’re both still ****e. Try Fyne ale, that’s not bad...
Tbh I dont drink beer. I'll have two pints at the most and then go onto vodka. Although I do enjoy a hawf and a hawf as we alchy Scots like to call it.
Used to buy McEwans in red cans from the NAAFI, I used to think it was ok but we are talking 20 years ago. @A.L.D.O 4.1 was there McEwans in blue cans aswell, sure I remember that?
British beer, ale at least, is brilliant. Far from ****e. Including some Scottish stuff, last time I was up there had a good few pints of local ale, think it was Skye brewery as one was called Black Cuillin I think. Lager, on the other hand, is ****e brewed in Britain. Which is why the likes of Kestrel don't exist anymore, because we're no good at it. The Spanish and French lagers though, top drawer. And Moretti.
Yeah, was using the term Beer (incorrectly) to describe Lager. I'm a big fan of a cold, dry and crisp lager. There are some good ales out there, and I know they are best served ambient from the cask, but they aren't really my go to.
