Douchatelet is playing us like a fiddle. All the excitement whenever we get a serious buyer. Then douche finds a way to put the kybosh on it. I'm fed up with the idea that he's mad. He's not. He's a lying devious cvnt, and is richer than any of us can dream of, which makes him so difficult to dislodge.
I posted something about Lee Bowyer in this thread, then remembered we had a thread dedicated to LB so I moved the post to the 'Lee Bowyer' thread (link below) Lee Bowyer
Well, the description is pretty accurate. I didn't know there was a Joe Duchatelet, but I imagine he isn't too pleased to have his garage door defaced like that. (unless it's not his garage door). Who is the Phantom Scrawler?
The latest flurry of excitement over a proposed takeover is fizzling out again. The mistake is to believe that because someone wants to buy out Douchatelet he will sell. He still believes there is someone out there who will meet his valuation, and won't budge until that person magically materialises. Shouldn't be long before he's on the Jim White show spouting his nonsense about how hard it is to sell, to the accompaniment of Jolly Jim thanking him profusely for granting him an audience.
I think most of us are immune to his antics by now. I know NLA is a trusted source, and he expects a sale before the new season, but has he taken into account Old Douchey's ability to fvck it up? We'll find out.
Odd couple of posts on ITTV. Angeldust saysthat by all accounts nothing likely to happen this summer, and there may be some interest during the season. Reams then sort of argued by saying it wasn't 'all accounts' but on the next page admitted the Dalman interest is now virtually zero. For someone keen to sell, and by his own admittance facing a horrible hike in expenses this term, RD seems to cling on and on. I'm guessing basic arithmetic isb't one of his strong points.
I have nil inside info but am inclined to agree with Angeldust. Old yellow teeth has had serious buyers in negotiation but he refuses to make any compromises on his sale price.
One of the first potential buyers was Donald Muir, who sent Alec McLeish to have a look at the players. Mcleish said openly that Douchatelet wanted too much and that was that. Others take longer to come to the same conclusion.
Interesting post from Richard Hunt. Morning all, just back from hols last night and got a message re the "European bid" as I guess we can call it. Please bear with me, I am at arm's length with these guys, so if after reading the following, you have questions, well, you and me both! Anyway... They have tabled an offer and this has been "accepted". That appears to mean that currently RD thinks it's one he will accept if he doesn't get a better one. The concern that this group share with most of us is that they fear that RD is playing everyone, and more or less at his leisure. The next step from these guys is that the main man will fly to London in approx two weeks together with the Charlton fan investment banker who has brought the bid team together. The only other thing I am able to mention is that the Charlton fan (I'm tempted to code name him Bexley Boy, 'cos he is ex Bexley Grammar ) is well aware of the directors' loan issue and the proposed deal would address it. How, I don't know. The bigger issue seems to be the same as all other serious bidders must have had - how to persuade RD to finally say to himself, OK, I have tested the market enough, I take the best bid.
because TFM said the takeover would be on July 17th … but TFM did not stipulate a year.... TFM is a good friend of Ducky who has contacts/friends in very high places.
