You also said India would thrash England in the cricket. Wrong again!

Took the day off for the semi final. England have impressed me the way they fought back. I had written them off. Obviously they are No.1 for a reason as we have a superbly talented squad but they really did look cooked.

I still think the pitches are the deciding factor, the toss is ultra important. Win and bat first, you get 15-20 overs of decent batting that the other side don't get when they bat. The pitches just get slower and lend themselves to cutters and pace off.

England have a great record at Edgbaston and its one of the pitches which seems less influenced by the recent weather. I feel for the groundsmen though. That deluge followed by hot weather was always gonna result in rough pitches that wear quickly. The pace just disappears after 20 overs. Fortunately we have both bases covered in the bowling as Wood and Archer have excellent cutters and slower balls. The batsmen though are flat track bullies so ideally we will have pace in the pitch and flatness. We have more 6 hitters than anyone else and I think we're capable of the highest scores.

Morgan just needs to win the toss. Or he's very much Irish <laugh>

A very tough one to call, Aussies look up for it but are beatable, we are hitting form at the right time. Meanwhile NZ are 143-3 with 12 overs left in the other semi final.

Happy to help. The explanation will take longer than a test match though. I'm very thorough.
