Just got to wondering a little more deeply about the Pontus situation. Bear with me as I ramble..... I believe that something serious has happened very, very recently. I have no idea what it was, but if the reason we're selling Pontus is down to something historical - i.e. happened last season, then why is it only blowing up now? Why was he not put up for sale at the end of the season? Obviously, whatever has happened before has not been enough for him to be cast aside. He's clearly done something very recently that has either precipitated his demise because of it's magnitude, or it's simply been the straw that broke the camel's back. Whatever it was, it must have been recent. He wasn't in the UK, by the looks, so no direct face to face confrontations, I'm guessing. So what's left? Demands? Being tapped up? Greedy agent? All of the above? Will we ever know? Prolly not, but whatever it was, his feet haven't touched the ground, just like Saiz.
Difference is at least pontus generates some cash. But Saiz leaves the club in debt as we terminate his contract coos he will refuse to come back. A three million hit being taken... He should be sued.
