Thanks for thinking of me (as usual) ... but I never bet real money on my footie team ... (which is a shame as I might have been very well off) .... and I doubt I ever will as it would impact my enjoyment ... plus I wouldn't bet that much in any case ... got better things to waste my money on, like 3 daughters .... <cheers>

You wouldn't be wasting it if you won <whistle>

You are overlooking the fact that Chelsea are facing a season without being able to bring players in on transfer ... which is why I imagine Lampard will be given at least another season ... surprised you didn't know, Quentin ... it has been all over the BBC Gossip Column <cheers>

Transfer ban that see's Pulisic and Kovacic join the squad permanently.

Plus he'll be able top pick which of the 738 loanees he'd like to keep

True ... but I think he will be given at least one transfer window to bring in his 'own' players ... similarly Ole will fail or succeed on how his current signings do ...

Depends if the payers play for him. Least the main **** that plays up as gone in Hazard!

<applause> At last someone acknowledges that were not going to morph into QPR.

Yep.

It’s purely about whether or not those who remain are good enough for top 6.

Personally, I would love to see Wolves finish above both Chavs and Arsenal.

They have both been hired as "fall guys" sort of as a bridge to wait for the next top class manager to be available.

Neither team are expecting to challenge for the title next season. So appointing these 2 allows the following

-More patience from fans
- Bridge the gap between youth and 1st team
-Gives both teams time to clear dead wood

I think more so Chelsea with bridging youth gap and United clearing dead wood. I honestly think going into next season or the season after both teams will go for a list managers. Out of both I'm more fearful of Chelsea how they are going to react in the mid to long term with all the cash they are going to have in reserve

United spend it right by and large, they've won trophies, but any progress has lacked depth because they've appointed some incompetent managers in the last 6 years.

Kind of agree with this.

Ole has been given a full season and is buying some decent prospects that any future manager can work with.

It is also crucial he gets rid of some dead wood and has the balls and club backing to **** the likes of Pogba and Lukaku off, and De Gea if he won't sign.

If it works out, great. If not, we go and get another manager. It's not like Pocettinmo is going anywhere else is it?

Ole has a free hit this season.

Read a couple of articles on Ole by ex team mates (I know it's dodgy) and they both said Ole is not the happy, smiley, easy going guy we all think he is when it comes to business (football), he is ruthless in his assessments and very focussed. With this in mind (and hope) I am thinking he might just surprise a few of us with his treatment of players and show the "you are with us or you are out" attitude that Fergie had and instilled in his squads.

Mentioned it a couple of times but it's worth repeating, one interview I watched of Ole sticks in mind or to be more precise one phrase

"I am going to be a success at this club, some of these players aren't"
