There's more to the Saiz situation than meets the eye, something's not sitting right. Saiz had everything at his feet, a great team, good team mates, a fan favourite, was playing great football and fitted into the team well........then something suddenly went A over T........if he'd have stayed, I reckon we'd have got promoted.

I think Ideguchi and Cibicki could've improved under Bielsa. Neither were given their chances and I think it's a shame they weren't. Ideguchi was being called the new Bremner, so he must've had something.......who knows, maybe even Bremner today wouldn't get into Bielsas team.

Sorry Doc, have to disagree about Berardi, and I think Bielsa sees the value in keeping him, unless Berardi chooses to leave and join Celino.

Berardi can play RB, LB and now it seems CB, obviously Bielsa saw that in Berardi and was happy to play him at CB. That's 4 positions Berardi can play, he also plays with his head and gives 110% every game, he'll be very hard to replace. Unlike Ayling and Douglas, Berardi knows not to push too far forward too often, which, unlike Ayling and Douglas most of time, is the reason why he's able to be back in defence for opponents quick breaks, and he makes his presence felt.

We conceded quite a few goals from Aylings side cos he was unable to get back quick enough.........Teams have had opportunities now to see Aylings side is a weak spot.

If Saiz doesn't find a team in 11 days, then he'll report back (hopefully) and there'll be quite a few chats with him.......:emoticon-0148-yes:

Get where you're coming from mate but Berardi can also cost us when he loses his head, as he did in his last match for us. He did do a good job early in the season covering for Pontus who was not ready to play. Think he may be getting to his shelf life

I like the lad, but I hope he's spending the summer swinging the banjo at the barn door. <ok>

    calm down ELL.
    Phil Hay‏@PhilHayYEP Jul 2

Been in contact with several members of staff at Leeds today and message I’m getting is that Jansson coming back in on the 12th is nothing more than a resting exercise after a long summer of internationals. Certainly no ill feeling towards Jansson from Bielsa. #lufc

I'd keep Roberts and Davis, youth on their side.

What is it with Bielsa & Dallas? Stuarty is a great lad but only shines in play-off games. Let him move on I think.

Forshaw, get rid if we can get the money back.

Love Berardi, and I'd keep him this year in spite of the red mist.

    <ok>

Berardi is invaluable as hes decent anywhere in defence. Ok, he has the red mist issue but guess he has to have some failings or he wouldnt be in the Championship

I reckon give it another couple of years and we'll have a really good player on our hands with Roberts, he has it all except experience and being able to handle the big matches, that will come.

Mr Loverman, you are right about Saiz.

A top Not606 journo that stands for truth and justice wrote this at the time:-

I smell conspiracy regarding Saiz peeps. What do you think?

We woke up to the news that:-

    i) Saiz’s body-fat tests was lagging behind his teammates.

ii) He was bottom of the pile at running sessions in the summer.

iii) Saiz struggled to meet Marcelo Bielsa’s body fat target of 10% or less.

Reports were forthcoming throughout the day criticising almost every aspect of 27 yo's 'struggling' game.

Hours later we were reading an article from sources close to Saiz expressing their surprise that the 27yo did not return to Spain last Summer (almost indicating that Saiz's was on borrowed time at Elland Road)!

Then at 5pm, Leeds journo Phil Hay posted :-
A major development at Leeds and somewhat out the blue - Getafe looking to do a deal for Samuel Saiz. Saiz unhappy in England and wants to go back to Spain. Could be set for a parting of ways.

Anybody else shocked to their very core, or just Phil Hay?

Does anybody believe that these stories have been deliberately drip fed to dilute the 5pm announcement?

Do Leeds Utd need a better spin doctor?

Now, we're told by Popey that Saiz will undertake a medical with Getafe next week, subject to a 6 month loan!!!

I thought Phil Hay had left the YEP. Is this a fake account?

I might be wrong Ell, but wasn't it reported somewhere along line that Getafe weren't interested in signing Saiz?

This was when he was going out on loan back in last December!!!!

The Getafe President let is slip that they were signing someone very good (which happened to be Saiz) whilst we were being fed spin regarding Saiz's body fat!!!

Drip fed and Saiz body fat is not a nice thought.

Agree Davey and the only way to stop bielsa and his favourites is to sign stand out players.

Player number 14 out of the door as we loan Lewie Coyle to Fleetwood Town for the 3rd time. They love him there as he plays anywhere now in defence and midfield. We will never see him in a Leeds shirt now I'm afraid.
