He's been linked with Leeds too, so perhaps he'll join Clarke there on loan as part of Pochettino's Bielsa training club?
Kompany signing as many of his ex-teammates as he can afford He must be living that Yaya Toure buggered off to China a couple of days ago...
While this mainly applies to Franco FC, this is a useful guide for the credibility of transfer rumours ...and, yes, I do see where AS are placed, which is really what we wanted to see as they're the ones providing the Ceballos updates please log in to view this image
Lower League Rando Watch Dammit, I was hoping we'd do them over for the whole Berahino farce... Exodus Watch The Daily Wail have taken two minutes out of their schedule of ****ing themselves raw over Ann Widdecombe's batshittery to say the following players have been made available for transfer Serge Aurier Cameron Carter-Vickers Marcus Edwards Vincent Jansson Josh Onomah Danny Rose Kieran Trippier Vincent Wanyama Looking at this list, I can easily break it down into the following categories The fact they're not included instantly makes me suspect that this list is complete bollocks Georges-Kevin Nkoudou Well duh... The Enigma of Vincent Janssen, What Remains of Victor Wanyama Both reached the "Play them or sell them" stage CCV, Onomah (with Onomah linked with a permanent move to Sheffield Wednesday in the last week or so) Obviously pushed his luck once too many times Edwards (which was expected the moment he posted a highlight reel of his time in the Eredivisie to Twitter, presumably at the suggestion of the agents he signed with back in March) Sounds suspiciously like the plan is to offload one of the two instead of both Aurier or Trippier (Trippier linked to Juve, and there were rumours of Aurier being shopped around late last season) The point where it's obviously bullshit Rose, as selling him would **** up our squad for the CL. We need four Club Grown players, and at present here is the complete list of CG players in the squad: Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Danny Rose, KWP, CCV, Josh Onomah, Luke Amos - and with Amos out on loan for the season, selling three of the six CG players we have isn't going to happen as we'd like to have a full quota of players in our squad, thank you very much
It's interesting to read that we've employed Pini Zahavi in the negotiations with Betis on the potential Lo Celso deal. For some time, Daniel Levy has wanted to free himself from significant levels of involvement in all transfer negotiations but Mauricio Pochettino's desire to avoid working with a DoF has made that difficult. Could it be that bringing Zahavi in, to conclude deals that are stuck or going off the rails, is the answer? It was notable that Baldini got those 7 deals done in 2013. In this window, we just can't miss out on who we need, after last summer's failure. Especially so, as it looks like we're not anywhere near finished replenishing the squad. So, an outside troubleshooter on the really difficult ones would allow the club to get on with advancing Sessegnon/Ceballos/whoever else at the same time? It looks like a good idea to me and could prevent us getting stuck on deals over sums that shouldn't be deal brakers, for the right players, given our new financial status and the disaster area of Arsenal's finances, Chelsea's ban and United's Pogba problems. It'll be harder to sign talent next summer. I'd presume that payment would be heavily incentivised and if Zahavi can bring Lo Celso in for around the Ndombele fee, everyone can feel rightly pleased with the outcome. It's time to expand our practices and I like the look of this.
As long as Zahavi doesn't also suggest he fly back to say goodbye to his former teammates on a cesena, which is exactly what happened when Cardiff let an agent do the legwork on their deals...
