I was asleep in the back with my little 'un.

I woke up to see the tailgate of the lorry inches away from my eldest's temple.

Missus was asleep free wheeling at around 90mph, the lorry was doing 60mph, and I woke up just as she woke up to slam on the brakes.

I saw that tailgate withdraw in slow motion.

My lad was fractions away from being brained and me watching it.

We were all saved for a reason.
