what's the best app to download to clean up your phone?

a reliable one, as some of my apps ain't working, and i'm not gonna factory mode set it.

 

Dunno about the best but I've used Cm cleaner for years (android play store) does the trick.

 

is that a genuine app or an i gonna download some Icelandic animal porn?

You have to get the paid version for that.

 

well its cleaned 1.5gb of something, **** knows what, probably asian porn

 

Why would you need to do this?

 

If you pack your phone full of music and videos it takes up space.

That app cleans residual files from old apps and stuff that stays on your phone after deleting things

 

Surely just delete some apps/videos/pics if your phone is slow ?

 

You could spend hours doing that, but cleaning apps tend to do it for you for lack of better words.

 

You can just do that in the settings other than adding another app.

Too many bricks...quickly add more bricks!

 

My old s4 was rooted, no stock apps I never used and couldn't delete etc.

Battery used to last days and I'd be on the thing non stop.

There's ways around some battery and space draining apps like messenger and fb. Don't download either apps just use the browser and stay logged in (I thin you may have to use messenger now I'm no sure)

 

Its whatever suits you I suppose, that's what makes android phones miles ahead of apple imo, you can really make it you own

 

I can understand on a PC where it cleans up disk space, broken registry entries, unused programmes etc. But surely on a phone you don't want a cleaning app going in deleting pics and videos etc ?

The one posted is more a background cleaner. (similar to what you said on pc) Some people don't know how to manually clean thier phones up. When I ****ed about trying to root for the 1st time I went through 3 galaxy s3minis
