More’s the point, if Perez is allowed to leave why the **** is the Joselu deal not being pushed through? Maybe he’s being kept back cos we can get more money for Ayoze so he’ll be needed to play alongside Gayle next season for us!

30 million for Perez? I think it's a good bit of business, I mean, he's alright. <laugh> I'm not sure the success this season was Perez or the fact he had a none selfish and very talented partner upfront.

I just made it up to try and keep the air of positivity going. Its either that or ban Chaos.

Seriously though it is an issue that has not been discussed. There are many current European players in English football that would not qualify fir a work permit as Non EU citizens.

I wonder if the official Newcastle website has been hacked or has there been a deliberate attempt to hide news with garbage from the toon

    At 00.47 am
17 official posts of OLD news posted on newsnow Newcastle

    From Matt Ritchie programme interview
    14th May 2018

With any takeover existing contractual terms have to Be honoured so the £30m release clause was out of the club’s hands.

It will be interesting to see how this windfall is handled though. My bet is that the Perez money will be banked and then handed over to Arabs or taken off the asking price.

Surely Mike isn’t stupid enough just to trouser it and not factor it into the sale?

    After all it’s income?

Incredible really or a 1 in 3/1 in 4 forward who spends a lot of time rolling round on the floor for no apparent reason. Don't get me wrong for about 6 months last season he was stellar. However he has been a hard watched at times. I think he will look better playing with better players in a more attacking style would be the only rider I apply. Potentially he has been untapped by ourselves as we've played defensive football for a long time now. There were signs at the back end of him dovetailing with Almiron.

I’m fairly sure he won’t be able to take £30m from a business without HMRC having something to say about it. Maybe he could offset his expenses on it on his tax return, how much do you reckon he spends in Toby Carvery?

Despite weeks of speculation De Ligt hasn't signed for Barcelona or Juventus.

    Holding out for the takeover

He can take it out against his loan. Loan repayments do not bother HMRC.

Yeah if he’s got a directors loan but then it wouldn’t be owed to him as part of any acquisition.

Indeed that is correct in essence the club would thus be sold for £320m.

He can then use the £30m to go towards the Game aquisition.

Depends what Leicester pay up front I’d imagine.

Reading back through some of the recent comments, the charge being satisfied is interesting, our lawyers do that often as part of the latter stages of due diligence when we buy new sites.
