And I am £75 better off if they do! Got 15/2 on them before the tournament so stuck a daft £20 free bet on them

I don't know anything about the betting industry but £20 at 15/2 works out at £150 just in simple arithmetic terms.

I HOPE that I've made you twice as happy:emoticon-0142-happy:emoticon-0142-happy

Bit of a breath of fresh air isn't it, I rooted more for the women's England team than I do for the men's these days. I guess the more money is at stake the less honest it'll get over time but for now they're playing with a great attitude.

True that. The world cup is the highlight of their careers and it shows. It used to be for men until the money was pumped in. They couldnt give a **** now as they all get paid too much by their clubs. Priorities have all changed. Catching a bit of tonight's game and our ladies have got nothing to be scared of. This world cup is winnable.

I'm not sure about dirty team until that last tackle which deserved to be a straight red card. Not sure how the Americans can call anybody whiners when your team are known to be notorious for that and throwing yourself to the floor which Morgan done at least on two occasions tonight.

Anyway, you were the better team and deserve to be in the final. Good luck.

I drifted in and out of it.

It’s a different game, I don’t find it all that appealing but it’s a lot better than it used to be. Some nice flowing passing stuff.

It just lacks a bit for me personally, it’s like Linda McCartney burgers. They look alright but when you bite them you know it’s not the right ****.

I've watched a fair bit of this tournament and have to say the only side who feigned anything pretty much were the American team. The rest were pretty fair and none of them went to ground without having been made to by contact. I fear that in time the Women's game will become as cynical as the Men's game when money or more money becomes involved. You can tell that the Americans have played the women's game longer because they are light years ahead in the falling down stakes. It makes you want to see them stuffed by somebody, anybody really and not win this.

This VAR lark is a bit of a joke really. As I understood it, if you are the last player and you prevent an obvious goal scoring opportunity unfairly then it is a straight red card. Why then having consulted VAR was the American player not sent off? She was the last player and it was in line with the goal about 3 yards out. I thought the object of VAR was to ensure wrongs were righted. Clearly only partially and only if you are an African Country or maybe even non American.

Changed that rule 2 year back mate. If it’s a penalty it’s not a red as a potential double punishment.

Bonkers. Potentially no punishment when the penalty is missed. Nonesense.

Football is for men, women's football is for women ... the two things are entirely different imo.

If it was the same thing you'd have women's games on MOTD on a Saturday night.

    That will never happen.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Tournament, so far.

Losing in the semi is hardly shameful and there was no lack of effort, England were simply beaten by the better side.

In passing I note that six from the starting line up came through our Academy as kids.
I wonder if we will see many, or indeed any, more now that we have been bounced down the pyramid by the Ladies FA.

Listened to Martin Glenn this morning gloating and self righteous w ----- r that he is, raving about the support the FA is giving to "the lionesses" no mention of any of Sunderland's huge involvement in the team or of the FA's support there of course.

Great effort by our lasses and I have thoroughly enjoyed this tournament. The game against the USA was lost by very fine margins, but have to say that was a dreadful penalty at any level of football.

It was never a penalty in the first place so it was fair that it was saved, should have let White take it she'd probably have scored.
