    Good Morning Everyone

The opening day of the transfer window saw two very familiar names returning to Thorp Arch.

The ink was still wet when Spurs decided to allow Jack Clark to return to familiar surroundings whilst Jack Harrison too would have had one or two deja vu moments.

Whilst Spurs are looking for long term gain from, Clarke, Cieh have come to an agreement with Leeds that they can purchase Harrison at the end of the season.

Obviously much will depend on promotion!

Brighton central defender Ben White became the third loan signing of the day. Although relatively unknown, the 21yo has caught the eye of Bielsa, and let's be honest, who'd argue with him?

Finally, transfer number four saw Leeds snap up highly rated Carlisle forward Liam McCarron.

Leeds beat a host of other clubs to the 18yo's signature. He will go straight in to Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 squad.

Helder Costa's agent was also in Leeds, finalising a 2m loan deal that will see the 25yo join the lads from LS11 during their 2019-20 campaign.

Leeds will also have to cover the Portuguese International's wages, believed to be (only) £20,000 a week!

The rumour is Wolves are keen to add an option to buy clause!

Aston Villa are believed to be preparing a 20m offer for Kelvin Phillips!!!

    Anyone tempted?

Morning all. I Don’t believe the Philips thing. It would undo any good transfer work done if true

    Morning all...

We’re ever so slightly stronger at the moment than we were last season, when the Costa deal goes through we’ll be quite a bit stronger, I agree with Eire, Phillips leaving would undo all of that.

Don't give 2 hoots about Phillips leaving TBH. We could probably find someone with as much talent some where else however £20 million would be greatly accepted.

3 senior squads over the line is always good especially this early on in the window.

    I gonna say this now....

Signing kids for the Under 23s to me is pointless. We got the kid from Carlisle and this Spanish kid coming in for the U23s and they're 18 and 20. If they're good enough to sign then they should be good enough for the senior squad. You gotta remember that Smith and Woodgate were regular starters at the age of 17 and Lennon first appearance was at the age of 15.

Good Morning to Matt Doc and co from a sunny Bardsey
Well3 new boys yesterday and 2 more this week including Clarke but where are the Marquee signings?
Still think we will sell Phillips for £20m and perhaps replace him with the lad from Qpr.Still think we need a striker and a keeper

    Morning all <ok>

Not going to discuss Phillips or Pontus until something official actually happens.

Good day yesterday but not sure anything has happened with Clarke yet? I believe he was training yesterday at TA and wasn't aware that any deal had gone through yet?

Hoping to see more action today

Biggest news yesterday and again today is going under the radar as QSI are now thought to be very very close to taking a big chunk of the club. Some say Radz stays in control but agrees to sell completely next year. Another is that QSI take full control now leaving Radz in charge and a big cash injection and finally one says Radz is still refusing. Any way you look at this it will not go away and more speculation about how the deal separates PSG from Leeds Utd legally. Its thought a new QSI company will be formed which has a family member as CEO and its this company which will deal with Leeds Utd. French newspapers saying Leeds Utd will become a feeder club for PSG...... No smoke etc

If we do sell Philips it would make the Clarke sale pointless, if we sell Pontus I’ll be disappointed but I’d hazard a guess it would be more down to him clashing with Bielsa

    Hi Wolves
Rafa Mujica is coming in with a view to break into the first team and even if if he falls short it means that either Edmondson or Kun have made it in his place, so in effect an extra striker. Mujica can play wide too. Young Liam McCarron only signed his first pro contract last Summer but quickly became a Carlisle favorite and played 20 games for the first team getting rave reviews. This kid will initially be given Bielsaball coaching under Carlos but will then try and break into the first team. Plenty of clubs were chasing him and we paid good money for him to beat 2 Premier league clubs for his signature

Yeah but a new striker who's 1st team ready would be fantastic....... we've only really got Bamford, Roofe and Roberts and an annoying habit of picking up injuries.... I would be more comfortable having a 4th 1st team striker just in case.

I get the idea of signing them for the future but when that happened a few years ago they went straight on to tthe bench look at Jenas at Newcastle

    On a side note:

Has anyone else heard Dean Saunders on Talksport this morning... they were talking about Zaha and his valuation. Saunders say that Zaha sound be valued at £100 million. It's just shocking that players are valued that high right now espcially if you think Shearer was only £15 million in the 90s whilst Ronaldo moved to Real for £70 million and was considered 'silly money'.

Good morning Elland my view on kalvin is sell him. You cant turn down good money on a player who might get injured and never be the same again.
So take the money and move on. Kalvin drifts out of games and seems to lack cocentration but is one of ours so is worshipped. He honestly is not that good and certainly not prem standard. As for a future England regular not in a million years.

Why would the clarke sale be pointless. Thats the idea of the academy to make some money as rads has already stated. Signings have been made with the funds made avaliable. If phillips goes for a chunk of money then great and use it.

Totally agree that the Academy is to make money and also a way if beating FFFP rules as academy/development players dont count in the total. However my biggest fear is that we have 20 players who were out on loan last season and what the hell is happening to offload the majority who are surplus

Signing young lads that may sometime make it shouldnt be the priority. Saw loads on social media yesterday totally over huping the young centre half from Brighton. Same crap as last season with Brown, blowing them up to ridiculous expectations then frustrated if or when they dont work out. Give them time actually playing for us in a full stadium and then it may be possible to assess them. Every signing is a lottery. Thats why Id hate to see Philips go. We know exactly what we get in him whereas get a replacement for him and he could be a duck

May have to eat humble pie there Wakey me old mate.
Philips is as good if not better that Henderson and he has Captained England, Philips has a great engine on him and tough tackler where it’s important, breaks attack’s up.
Please don’t say Forshaw as a replacement.

I think you hit the nail on the head right there. A few years ago it looked like his place on the team was in doubt. Mowatt had jumped in from of him along with Cook but he has turned out good. I think people are forgetting he's been around that team for ages and I mean ages. If he had come from another club he would have been shipped off to A lower league club years ago not treated like a god
