    I must admit I'm confused by the handball rule as applied in this women's world cup
    Just seen the USA v France highlights and apparently that isn't a penalty for handball

    Indeed. And that game of the German's against the South Koreans was one of the funniest things ever, absolutely hilarious when Son scored the second. Merkel's still shaking as a result.

    The England women are garnering quite a bit of support for the match against our side thanks to the bad behavior of midfielder Megan Rapinoe. She is largely the reason I haven't watched a single minute of USWNT play in cup competition, and don't plan to do so. Still, I know a lot of Americans who will be watching and rooting for England.

    Maybe the England manager can put a dress on Joey Barton, so he can play and knock Rapinoe around a bit. That I would gladly watch.
