connolly i thought was our best defender last season, unfair that he has been dropped. I to would like to see Lees in CB however lees crosses are amazing and seems very confident on the ball. We wouldnt see that side of his game at CB and thats why i think grayson has chose to play him at RB
what is it with us Leeds fans, we complain when someone has a short contract, we complain we someone has a long contract He deserves a long contract, without him I don't think we'd be in this league at all. I think the fans need to get behind the team, stop criticising them and realise all the anti bates chants aren't helping the boys. It's no coincidence that the Bates and Chelsea chants come out when we are playing bad, you might as well be chanting that the team is a bunch of w*nkers. bates isn't going to leave because we chanted nasty things about him. Boycott the matches or shut up because we don't need all this negative cr@p when we want to be in the Prem next season.
Josh, he does get some good crosses in when allowed but he was penned back on Sat and he really struggled, which is a shame because he has a lot to offer, and you can just see his confidence going down and down. I think connolly is a great attacking full back as well, is vocal and somewhat of a leader, and should be brought back in. Like you say, I thought he was easily our best defender last season as well.
I agree about Connolly. The only explanation I can think of is that he's been awful in training or put some weight on.
My POV.... Put a young quick CB (lees or loan) next to him...paddy reads the game well and with a partner with some pace a perfect pairing.... Also i agree with nashville we need a campain.... "Bring back the headband"
