Do the majority of contributors want the PL board to be overrun with threads about politics/terrorism/religion? It’s bad enough that Tiny Tears introduces the subject of Islamic terrorists to every thread he posts on. Surely it’s best if the subjects are restricted to the abortion of the Animal Farm thread? There’s also the thread on GC that’s dedicated to monitoring how many people have been stabbed in London.
We had one thread where terrorist incidents could be put. Just like there's one thread for politics. I think it had over 80 pages so clearly it had been used and nobody was complaining about it. This board has always run itself because anything went. Now we are told what we can and can't talk about. Meh.
I would support your request for a terrorism thread if it meant all posts about terrorism were restricted to that thread. It’s a bit annoying when a discussion about potato salad is directed towards a rant about Islamic extremism.

I have to agree with Saffy on this one. The beauty of the PL board was the fact it wasn't modded in that way - threads locked, thread bans etc. If you don't like the topic stay off the thread. How can you lock threads but keep animal farm open? Its either all or nothing, not some subjective view about what people can discuss ffs. I don't use animal farm as it doesn't interest me in the slightest. But closing some threads and leaving that abomination open is massive double standards. Kind of the opposite of why this board exists I totally understand cleaning up porn and blatant racism (casual racism is fine ), but choosing what people can discuss? **** this.
