I got an extra day in Portugal because I got a later flight last Monday. 20:40 to Glasgow rather than the normal early morning flight.

Yeah not sure if I would count that as a day though. Hanging about hotel/staff quarters is a ballache. You know your holiday is over and you just want to **** off home at that stage. Think I shall still file it under "12 day holiday."

We spent most of day 13 sitting by the pool and chatting to the owners. Never left for the airport until about 16:30.

 

That is not a day, mate, even for a short person

 

It is when you are up at 8am. Better than sitting on a 7am flight and back in Glasgow for 10.

 

Nah **** that looking at your watch every 20 minutes and then eventually the missus just says, "oh let's just go" and you are at the airport far too early. It was a 12 day holiday, just accept it ffs

Seen some nick of ****s on these flights, absolutely legless at 7am before the flight even takes off.

About 4 years ago, the Lochrie's arrived at Prestwick and there's a squad of 10 guys absolutely hammering the bevvy and I noticed them eyeing up Julie and Bernadette so they're obviously fkin steaming.

We got on the plane and 4 of them were sitting on our seats, I said "ratz oor seats" and one goes "how dae ye know?" to which I said "coz its oan the ticket" so they get up and move.

Two of the ****s were sitting in front of us and just drank and swore the whole time, the fat one was alright but the skinny ginger one on the aisle seat was absolutely buckled - by the time we arrived, his head was swinging about the aisle like a wrecking ball.

I got up to get my case from the overhead locker and this **** gets his phone out and types a message to his burd I assumed.

Had a wee swatch at it to see what he could possibly be sending thinking it would be "that's me here" or "landed", instead he types three little letters that had me fking creasing.

"FTP"

Still raises a smile even to this day.

I used to sneer at these ****s drinking at that time in the morning as scum because I never used to drink as we had young kids or I was driving at the other end. Nowadays I'm fkin necking bottles of prosecco in the airport then finger blasting Julie under a jacket on the plane.

 

I’m off to Lanza in October.
