Did Oasis or Blur make an album as good as London Calling or All Mod Cons? Did they fùck! @brb close this thread. Its run its course.
Yeah but you can throw that argument all over the place. If you list the best albums ever I imagine both would be low in the list or the even in there all.
Did you Lewis Capaldi ripping the piss out of Noel Gallagher at Glastonbury yesterday? His music is suicide inducing but he's got the bantz that boy.
Pretty fair comparison I should think. Both were British bands who were around at the same time as each other. Paul Weller is by far a better song writer than Noel and Damon. Games a bogey Logie.
Yeah, this is the truth. Certainly, as has already been said, Oasis were superior 'at the time'. Given that they then fell off a cliff they're still superior to Blur. Blur did one decent album, Parklife. At least Oasis did two. I also saw.Oasis in concert later on, after about fifth album I think when they got it back on track slightly, and they were very good. I ****ing hate Liam though, would love to meet him and bang the stupid **** out.
Hitting my 3rd double rum as we debate this nonsense. Let's move on to who is the best band from that era then so 90's only and British only or Nirvana are just going to win. Primal Scream are going to be tough to beat here.
Really, suprised by that? They were superb until they became the Style Council and Foxton & Buckler left. Then they actually became the Style Council.
See I get what your saying but some of their stuff they released prior to their break up was terrific.
I've listened a few times but just can't take to them. Hard to pin it down, I don't feel any of the songs really have the emotional content that grabs me. Sounds a bit poncy but best I can do. Happy to listen to any suggestions.
