He himself hadn't done more than 24 runs in 6 overs when I went!

Edit: my mistake thought the spinner with the tache was captain.

He did look their weakest link but in fairness what cost them was losing one of their main bowlers to injury so they had to fill in 8 overs elsewhere. Then one of their back-up bowlers did his shoulder in the field (Rahmat) and couldn't bowl either. He was limited for options and as captain I think we'd all be berating him if he hadn't tried to stand up and be counted - I'm sure he thought he was doing the right thing for his team, his bowling was so far off the standard set by the rest of his team though.

The fact they got so close to defending a low score with so many unfortunate issues regarding their bowlers does suggest that overall his captaincy wasn't bad! They did better than England did against the same opposition.

I think it was the former captain making the calls by the looks of it!

He should have kept going with the spinners to ensure that the runs required off the last couple of overs were a challenge for Pakistan. Had they needed 30 off the last two then even his **** bowling in one of the last two may have been enough.

He brought himself on, got rinsed and then took himself off again by which time the game had gone. The fact he brought himself back for the last over when they needed a run a ball was just the cherry.

Anyway, what I learned today is that Afghan women are better looking than Pakistani women. I'm going to get the next Mrs Stan from Afghanistan.

India are through... they will let England win to keep Pakistan out.

    A conspiracy I read earlier.

    I don't really believe it.

Gonna be a very good game

Malinga. He’s fat and old and he throws it.

He doesn't throw it boys, his arm is absolutely straight.

    Just not straight 'up'.

His action has never even been questioned.

His arm is perfectly straight, it doesn't have to be vertical.
Admittedly, it usually is in most other cases but, even so, he bowls not throws.

His nickname is slinger Malinga. Because of his action.

To be fair, you are correct. Roundarm was actually legal before overarm, but I very much doubt a rotund W G Grace was able to fling them down like Malinga, no matter how much he looks like a Dad who doesn't give a **** anymore.

It's aesthetically awkward and that's what upsets and repulses me, and I know I'm justified in saying that because at least 7 women have said the same of me.
