  1. My mate is at Lords for the day nighter between the Aussies and Kiwis. He's in the no alcohol allowed stand <laugh>
Did a 5km park run at 9AM and it was challenging to say the least. On the plus side I think I've earned a beer and a curry later...

  2. It's mad. I inherited my old man's classic Irish complexion so only have to look at the sun and turn crimson !

I have medium skin and am tanned virtually all year to some degree. At the moment I’m deeply tanned as it’s been hot and sunny here for a couple of months.

I still use suncream though. There’s a number of people I know who end up at the hospital having skin carcinomas removed.

People tend to overlook that you’re 1000+ miles south here. The sun is far stronger than anything you’ll experience in the UK.

Was planning to do the gardening today as my porter has thrown a sicky. Just been out to the bottom paddock and it's far too hot. Just bought a bottle of rum so I'll chill in the summer house and do it this evening before the garden party next door, just ordered a taxi.

You're going to a North London football stadium to watch a team that's moved around and changed it's name?
Try making some noise or it could be an overly familiar experience for you.

It’s a great stadium for track and field. Went to the Olympics and the Worlds, both fantastic.

I've always thought that they missed an opportunity by not having the dogs race there on match days.

I went out this morning but decided to take the car so had to give the beer a miss. I went for an early morning stroll first and realised how hot it was going to be today, so thought better of leaving the beer alone. Home now, so will go over the pub later when it's cooled down a bit.

**** that. Taking the dog out at 9 was bad enough. Did half an hour of cardio in the lovely sterile air conditioned gym before weights and that was **** too. Pleasant enough in the garden now.
